- The unmissable Archaeological Museum of Naples

The famous Museo station is dedicated to him: the Archaeological Museum of Naples, also known as the MAN.
Founded by the Bourbons at the end of the 18th century, it is the oldest museum in Europe. Today it is the first museum in Italy completely dedicated to classical archeology and fourth among the various Italian museums with a single seat.
Like a very prestigious temple of culture, it houses in its halls the historical collections that constitute, without emphasis, one of the cornerstones of the history of Italian and Western culture.
The museum consists of three main sections: the Pompeian collections, the Farnese collection and the Egyptian collection, the latter considered the most important and extensive exhibition after those of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and the Egyptian Museum in Turin.
To complete the archaeological visit, a section called Neapolis Station has been opened – in the underlying Metro Line 1 stop, Museum Stop – where it is possible to view some artifacts found during the excavations of the Naples underground network.
Home to very interesting exhibitions, it currently hosts:
Lascaux 3.0 at MANN from January 31st to May 31st 2020,
Thalassa, wonders submerged by the Mediterranean from 12 December 2019 to 9 March 2020,
“Understanding climate change” to change our future in collaboration with the National Geographic Society from 10 October 2019 to 31 May 2020.
